the example may be stupid but it helps to understand ... you ever been drunk? surely, this is the official excuse given by Socrates on the Internet:
When we drink alcohol in excess, we end up drunk.
When we are drunk, asleep.
When we sleep we commit no sin.
When we commit sins, go to Heaven.
Conclusion: To go to heaven you have to be drunk
